I have been to Accra many times but this was my first stay at Esther’s.It has the atmosphere of an European guesthouse more than hotel, which was comforting. You are greeted in a friendly manner each time you pass the front desk … Take the time to wander through the garden at the back and see the orchids, plants and peacocks – very relaxing. If you see a gardener, they are happy to talk about plants. Esther, herself will probably be around if you have questions or concerns. Everyone truly wants you to be comfortable.
Long one of Accra´s more upscale addresses, Esther´s is not as flashy as some of Accra´s newer boutique hotels, but for many that´s a bonus. It´s homely and friendly, with cosy understated rooms and lovely gardens, complete with wandering peacocks.
Esther´s Hotel is located at 4 Volta Street, which is near the “National Service Headquarter” at the Lumumba Road.
